LEXUS SUPPORTS MANILA YACHT CLUB'S PRESIDENT'S CUP REGATTA

Last February 13, 2009, more than 90 mariners, gathered at the newly- erected Lexus Manila Showroom to witness the briefing of the 7th Manila Boracay Regatta and the 17th President's Cup Regatta – both are part of the Asian Yachting Grand Prix 2008-2009. Lexus Manila supported the prestigious competition which saw more than 20 local and international teams flex their navigational and boating skills.

Lexus is dedicated to the pursuit of perfection not only with its products but also through its revolutionary showroom and first-class customer service. Lexus shares this passion by supporting activities such as the Manila Boracay Regatta and the 17th President's Cup Regatta.

Mr. Daniel Isla, Lexus Manila, Inc.'s President, welcomed the guests while Manila Yacht Club Commodore, Mr. Boy Tronqued and Chairman of Race Committee, Mr. George Hacket, briefed the mariners of guidelines for the competition.

From the waters of the Manila Bay off Roxas Boulevard, the yachts flagged off the 220-nautical mile race at the Manila Yacht Club. Foxy Lady IV of Canadian Bill Bremner took the crown for the IRC Racing Class of the Manila Boracay Regatta, followed by Karakoa, as skippered by Ray Ordoveza, then Freefire 52 of Russ Parker.
